Smith Jr. 53A III222 · C3n (Doubled 880 & Lower Rev, Die Scratches Rt Wreath & Wing) (176) Reverse C3n– Thin die scratch across wreath leaves above R in DOLLAR and several die scratches at lower inside of eagle’s left wing. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # The 1880-O VAM-30, 1880-O VAM-53, 1880-O VAM-53A & 1880-O VAM-53B are all a III2 22 obverse die class but have different obverses. # The 1880-O VAM-30 does not have the gouge in the D shaped void or the line in the B of Liberty on obverse.
