=1879-S VAM-3 Doubled 9= Discovered by Charles Wallace, February 1959. 3 III2 3 ∙ C3b (Doubled 9) (185) Obverse III2 3 – 9 in date doubled on left side. On some specimens 8 has a spike of metal on left side between loops. Open 9 variety.
