=1879-S VAM-144 Lines in Ear & Hair, High S, Engraved Wheat Leaves = Discovery Unc90o, April 2022 III2 81 • C3y (Lines in Ear & Hair, High S, Engraved Wheat Leaves) (184) Obverse III2 81 - Strong pattern of lines inside ear at various angles. 3 strong vertical lines in center of opening. Several strong short lines in gaps above bearclaw formation. Slight doubling of lower hair showing as split strands above date. ''Die Marker'' - Die chip in front of top of eye and two parallel lines in front of lower eyelid. Diagonal line in center of Y of LIBERTY. Reverse C3y - Engraved leaves above NE of ONE. S mintmark set high with tilt to left. Die later used for VAMs 29, 99, 100, 101 and 102.
