This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM and This coin is a Top 30 1878 Variety '''115 II/1 17 - B2a (Doubled Date) (194) ''' '''Obverse II/I 17 -'''Doubled IBERTY in LIBERTY with left shift. Doubled NUM in UNUM and doubled date. All stars doubled. Tripled right edges of cotton bolls, same obverse as [[1878-P VAM-198 '''DPIS – In 1878 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: '''Comments: # [[1878-P VAM-115 has many doubled obverse features. The lock-in feature is the tripled obverse blossoms in Liberty's hair above her ear. The date is also doubled to the lower left along w/ the 1 & 7 below their crossbar. Many stars are also doubled, especially the first two to the right of the date. Tripled blossom 1878 coins are all rare. The "King of VAMs", [[1878-P VAM-44 is a 7/8 tailfeather coin, this VAM-115 has a short nock in the center of the arrow feathers. This VAM is tough to find and a great find in conditions above XF.
