Description

This bronze medal from circa 1860, cataloged as Satterlee-3, is another entry in the presidential residence series, also depicting the John Adams home. The bronze composition distinguishes this from the white metal Satterlee-2 (PCGS #803549) and may indicate a different die variety or a premium version of the same basic design. The existence of multiple Satterlee catalog numbers for the same president's residence indicates that different die-sinkers produced competing versions of the residence medal, each with distinct design elements.
