Class VIII, Tilted Hub Doubling Nice Class VIII doubling shows above the top step of the center steps and on the letters T, I, C and E of MONTICELLO. Die Markers: Obverse: Series of die gouges in Jefferson's hair below IN; die gouge between D of GOD and W of WE; die gouge to right of Jefferson's ear. Reverse: Die gouge in field above EN of CENTS; series of die gouges at top right edge of building.
