2016 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-141
Error
Description
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the third window from the left in the bottom row of windows and in the third window from the left in the second row of windows from the bottom. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Short NW/SE die crack left of the desinger's initials. Die scratch extends far NW from the O in GOD. NW/SE die scratch on the upper lip and cheek below the nose. Short NW/SE die scratch from the Y in LIBERTY to the neck. Die gouge above the L in LIBERTY. Die gouge inside the bottom of the Q in QUARTER. Die gouge right of the A in QUARTER. Die gouge SE of the mintmark P. Die gouge touches the inner right side of the U in TRUST. Obverse Stage B: Die scratch above the O abraded away. All other Stage A markers present. A large die break can be found on the base of the bust north of the D in DOLLAR. Reverse Stage A: Short NW/SE die scratch below the lowest branch below FERRY. Large die gouge near the outer ring above the left side of the left roof. Small die gouge at the top of the first doorway. Small die gouge between the B and R in BROWN'S. Small die gouge touches the bottom left serif of the N in BROWN'S. Small die gouge below the right side of the S in BROWN'S. Reverse Stage B: Same as Stage A.
