Description
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the second and third windows from the left in the bottom row of windows. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: None noted. Obverse Stage B: Multiple intersecting die cracks on the base of the bust with die chips over the ER in QUARTER and the D in DOLLAR. Long curved die gouge or hubbed-in debris inside the D in UNITED. Large die gouge below the right side of the M in AMERICA. Die gouge left of the R in AMERICA. Die gouge left of the top of the I in LIBERTY. Small die gouge inside the Q in QUARTER. Small die gouge below the left side of the U in QUARTER. Die gouge in the inner right side of the A in DOLLAR. Small die gouge above the U in TRUST. Stage B gouges may be present in earlier stages. Reverse Stage A: None noted. Reverse Stage B: Thin NW/SE die scratches above the right side of the left roof. Two large die gouges NW of the J in JOHN. Stage B gouges may be present in earlier stages.
