Error
Description
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the third, fourth, and fifth windows from the left in the bottom row of windows and in the fourth and fifth windows from the left in the second row of windows from the bottom. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Thin E/W die scratches above the Y in LIBERTY. Thin NW/SE die scratch below the TR in TRUST. Thin NW/SE die scratch on the nose. Die gouge between the O and F in OF. Obverse Stage B: Stage A die markers still present. Die gouge below the right side of the O in OF. Reverse Stage A: Heavy die scrapes at the bottom of the first doorway. Weak NW/SE die scratches above BROWN'S. Thin N/S die scratch through the O in JOHN. Thin NE/SW die scratch right of the guard tower. Reverse Stage B: Stage A die markers still present. Die gouge in the left opening of the guard tower. Die gouge between the branches below the Y in FERRY. Small die gouge below the H in the designer's initials PH.
