Error
Description
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the third and fourth windows from the left in the bottom row of windows. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Weak die scratches through the tail of the Q in QUARTER. NW?SE die scratch left of the T in LIBERTY. Die gouge near the rim right of the F in OF. Die gouge between the M and E in AMERICA. Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers may or may not be present. Small die chips can be found on either side of the upper designer’s initials as well as north of the E and R in QUARTER. Reverse Stage A: Short die crack at the lower right corner of the building. Very thin E/W die scratches above the building. Two die gouges in the second doorway. Small die gouge touches the top left corner of the N in JOHN. Reverse Stage B: Stage A markers may or may not be present. No markers noted.
