Error
Description
Doubling shows in the windows in the arch above the center doorway. It shows in the second and third windows from the left in the bottom row of windows extending below the third window. It also shows slightly in the second and third windows from the left in the second row of windows from the bottom. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die scratch NW from the lip. NW/SE and NE/SW die scratches through the TY in LIBERTY. Light NE/SW feeder finger scrapes above the Y in LIBERTY. Two die gouges left of the A in DOLLAR. Die gouge in the upper opening of the E in STATES. Die gouge near the rim right of the last A in AMERICA. Obverse Stage B: Stage A markers still present. A die chip can be found on the base of the bust to the left of the designer’s initials. Die gouge above the B in LIBERTY. Die gouge right of the first R in QUARTER. Reverse Stage A: Thin N/S die scratch right of the left roof. Curved die gouge touches the top right serif of the N in BROWN'S. Die gouge touches the left side of the right building at the first floor windows. Reverse Stage B: Same as Stage A.
