2009 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-100
Error
Description
Doubling shows on the center right side of log end #9. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found below and between the 2nd 0 and 9. A long die crack runs from SSW to NNE through the hair at the back of the head and then turns NE running to the top of the head ending in the hair below and between the W and E in WE. A small die chip can be found at the top end of this die crack. Two short die cracks run through the hair above the long die crack. A die crack runs NW through the eyebrow and into the forehead with a very strong shorter branch running just to the left of the longer die crack. A die crack runs down the lips. A die crack runs from NW to SE through the bowtie and then curves south into the vest. A die crack arcs NW from the rim at about 6:30 and then WNW curving through the upper designer’s initials. Obverse Stage B: A long, strong die crack branches NNE from the die crack at the base of the bust and runs well into the lower bust. Reverse Stage A: A short, vertical die scratch can be found between the tops of the E and D of UNITED. Reverse Stage B: A die gouge touches the upper left side of the 2nd S in STATES.
