Description
Doubling shows on the upper right side of log end #8. A partial extra log end can be found SW of log end #8. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge can be found just below the center of the N of IN. A small die gouge can be found above the 9. Die pitting can be found at the upper back of the forehead. A die scratch runs SW to NE to the right of Lincoln’s lips and passing through the tip of his nose. A strong die crack runs NW from the eyebrow into the forehead with a die chip on the upper end of the die crack. Reverse: Small die gouges can be found to the right of the bottom of the cabin. Die pitting can be found to the right of the top of the E and inside the top of the N of CENT.
