2009D-1DER-001T Trail Die Reverse

Description

Moderate trail lines are seen from the top left corners of the letters in UNITED. Also seen are trail lines from the E of EPU. This is the first time trail lines have been encountered on an incused design element. This feature adds further credence that trails / wavy steps are not related to a doubled die or created by polishing of the die. The offset direction is 260 degrees. DIE MARKERS : Stage “A”, obverse is LEDS – a die crack is seen on the back of Lincoln’s head. Reverse is LEDS – a small die dot is seen between the EN of CENT.
