Description
Doubling shows on the horse’s mane just below the saddle horn.Die Markers: Obverse: N/S die scratch between the A and R in QUARTER. N/S die scratches between IN and the hair. NW/SE die scratches through the UN in UNITED. NW/SE die scratches through STATES OF. NW/SE die scratches between the Y in LIBERTY and the neck. Reverse: Die gouge above the 1 in 1890. Die gouge between the A and L in QUALITY. Weak E/W die scratch through STATE.Submitted By: George W. Thin E/W die scratches through the tops of the ST in STATES. Reverse: Pre-die break depressions above the left side of the cowboy's hat and along the left side of the horse's tail. Die gouge between the bottoms of the T and Y in LIBERTY. Gouge touches the bottom left side of the 8 in 1890.
