Description
Doubling shows on the underside of the saddle horn. Die Markers: Obverse: A die crack runs across the base of the bust though the upper designer’s initials and west into the field. A small die chip can be found on this die crack just west of the front point of the bust. A die chip can be found on the base of the bust north of the D in DOLLAR. A die chip can be found above and between the F in JF and the W in WC. Reverse: A pre-die chip depression can be found to the left of the center of the horse’s tail. The specimen examined had mechanical doubling on the upper letters of EPU. Obverse:
