Description
Doubling can be found on the horse’s mane directly below the saddle horn. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge touches the bottom right point of the R in AMERICA. A short die gouge can be found between the Q and U in QUARTER. A die crack runs across the base of the bust and through the upper designer’s initials. A small die chip can be found in the J of JF. Reverse: A small die gouge can be found to the left of the top of the 9 in 1890. A pre-die chip depression can be found above the left side of the cowboy’s hat. A large pre-die break depression runs along the left side of the horse’s tail. Obverse:
