Description

Doubling of the lower right saddle horn protrudes from the horse’s mane below the saddle horn. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A die crack runs across the base of the bust and through the upper designer’s initials. A die chip can be found to the left of the upper W in WC. Small die chips can be found on the left end of the base of the bust. Obverse Stage B: The die crack across the base of the bust now extends SW into the field passing through the Q of QUARTER and out to the rim. A die chip can be found on the die crack north of the U in QUARTER. Reverse Stage A: Small die gouges can be found between the cowboy’s hat and the cowboy’s head. A die gouge can be found inside the upper right H in THE. A small die gouge (dot) can be found below the left side of the E in THE. Reverse Stage B: Same as Stage A.
