Description

Doubling shows on the horse’s mane directly below the right side of the saddle horn. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A short die gouge runs north from the top left side of the N in UNITED. A short, vertical die gouge can be found above the right side of the T in UNITED. A small die gouge can be found to the right of the upper T in QUARTER. A die gouge can be found in the field to the left of the upper nose. A light die crack runs across the base of the bust and then SSW into the field through the left point of the base of the bust. Obverse Stage B: The die crack from the left tip of the base of the bust now runs through the left side of the Q in QUARTER and out to the rim at about 8:00. Reverse Stage A: A die gouge can be found inside the upper left W of WYOMING and inside the upper part of the bottom center of the W. A short, vertical die gouge can be found SE of the W in WYOMING. A short, vertical die gouge can be found to the right of the lower 1 in 1890. A short, diagonal die gouge can be found above the U in EQUALITY. A die gouge can be found to the right of the center of the 7 in 2007. A short die gouge runs south from the top right S in PLURIBUS. A small die gouge can be found to the left of the lower 2 in 2007. Reverse Stage B: A pre-die chip depression can be found above the left side of the cowboy’s hat.
