Description
Moderate to strong fluting line extension, into the stylobate, under columns 10 and 11. Moderate step deviation is seen under columns 4 through 8, with an offset direction of 170 degrees. Also seen are trail lines from the bottom of the letter in UNUM and the I in PLURIBUS.
Die Markers
- Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – small die gouge in the second 0 of the date.
- Reverse is MDS – large die chip is forming in bay 1. Small die gouge is seen in the upper part of bay 2.
