Description

Bar extended from the middle of the leg to the upper base to the right of the statue on the seventh column. Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A: Multiple die gouges can be found on the shoulder north and northwest of the VDB. A die gouge can be found far above the right side of the B of LIBERTY. Stage B: New obverse die. A die gouge can be found above and between the V and D of VDB. A die gouge can be found between the right bust and rim, far south of the 2 of the date. A die gouge can be found right of the upper lip. Reverse: Stage A: Multiple diagonal die scratches run NNW/SSE through the upper statue. A gently curving die scratch can be found in the lower right fifth Memorial bay running NNW/SSE. A die dent can be found running through the NIT of UNITED. A die gouge can be found on top of the right upright of the M of AMERICA. A die gouge can be found touching the upper right R of AMERICA. A die gouge can be found right of the lower second A of AMERICA. A small die gouge can be found between the lower legs of the N of CENT. A die scratch extends from the top of the right tip of the T of CENT to the bottom of the Memorial. Stage B: The Stage A markers are still visible. A small die gouge can be found below the right side of the first U of PLURIBUS. A die gouge can be found below the right Memorial base. A die gouge can be found between the lower O and N of ONE. A die gouge can be found slightly below and between the N and E of ONE. A die gouge touches the lower inside tip of the C of CENT. A die gouge can be found touching the right side of the left upright of the N of CENT. Obverse: Multiple die gouges can be found above and to the right of the B of VDB. Reverse: Die gouges can be found inside and left of the upper C of CENT. A die gouge can be found between the lower C and E of CENT. A die gouge can be found to the left of the lower T of CENT.
