Description

Bar extended from below the hand to the upper leg to the left of the statue on the sixth column. Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A: A die gouge can be found on the bottom of the first zero of the date. Three die gouges can be found to the left of the lower-middle of the bust. A die gouge can be found on the upper back of Lincoln's ear. Stage B: The Stage A markers are still present. A die gouge can be found in the upper first zero of the date. Multiple die gouges can be found in front of the chin and on the lower beard. Reverse: Stage A: None noted. Stage B: A die crack runs the full length of column two before running northeast onto the cornice and east on the upper cornice. A die chip is present on the middle left second column on the previously mentioned die crack. A die crack runs the full length of column three before turning northeast onto the lower cornice. A die chip is present on the middle left third column on the previously mentioned die crack. A die crack runs northeast from the top of the fourth column onto the lower cornice. Numerous die gouges can be found throughout the reverse including below the A in STATES, below the second T in STATES, left of the upper E in E PLURIBUS, below the left side of the N in UNUM, in Memorial bays two, three, and four, below the statue in Memorial bay six, left of the lower O in ONE, between the lower O and N in ONE, between the lower N and E in ONE, between the lower E and N in CENT, and right of the lower N in CENT. A die scratch can be found running from the upper right inside to lower middle inside of the O of ONE.
