1999 Radical MAD Die Clash MDC-1C-1999-02

Description

MDC-1c-1999-02 This 1999 Lincoln cent shows a MAD die clash protruding from the front coat line, just below Lincoln’s bow tie . The overlay shows the relative position of the dies when they clashed. This coin is part of Bob Piazza’s personal collection. The two pictures to the left give a close up view of the clash mark left by the reverse die on the obverse and the position of the reverse die when it clashed with the obverse die.
