Description
Doubling shows on the left side of the 7th column to the right of the statue’s lower legs and the upper pedestal. Die Markers: Obverse: Two slightly bent vertical die gouges are present left of the bottom of the 1 in the date. A die chip is present on the vest below the left side of the bowtie knot. Reverse: A die gouge can be found to the right of the lower second A in AMERICA. A die gouge can be found below the left upright of the first A of AMERICA. A die gouge can be found below the right side of the memorial base. Three curving die gouges are present inside the lower left corner of tenth memorial bay with the innermost being strongest and outer being weakest. A die crack can be found on the upper left side of the memorial roof.
