Description

Strong trails are seen on AMERICA and STATES. There are some trail lines present on the letters of EPU. Also seen are trails on the ED of UNITED, the NT of CENT and the E of ONE. There is another set of trails, in a different direction, on the N and E of ONE. This was validated by Bob Piazza who also has this die in a better grade and earlier die state. The offset direction is 060 and 260 degrees. This die was found by Joe Koelling of North Carolina and it is a major trail die. DIE MAKERS: Stage “B”, obverse is MDS – die crack on Lincoln’s nose. Reverse is MDS – die gouge between the R and I of AMERICA.
