Description

Moderate trail lines are seen from the tops of the letters of IN GOD WE TRUST. Heavy flow lines are also seen from the letters and may have been caused by the scoring of the die and exasperated by metal flow. The offset direction is 030 degrees.

Die Markers

• Stage “B”, obverse is LMDS – a die crack, following the back of Lincoln’s head, intersects WE on its way to the rim. A die chip is seen on top of the forward hairline.
• Reverse is LMDS – a die gouge is seen next to the right leg of the last A in AMERICA.
