Description

Bar extended from above the head to the bottom of the head to the left of the statue on the sixth column. Die Markers: Obverse: A strong die gouge, resembling “Finger Feeder Damage,” runs north from the front of Lincoln’s bust, left of the 1 in the date. Light die scratches run SE from Lincoln’s lips and upper chin. A strong die gouge runs north towards the rim inside the upper U in TRUST. A series of small die gouges (dots) show throughout the letters of GOD. Reverse: A die gouge runs SW from the tip of the left memorial base. Two die gouges show between the lower O and N in ONE. A small die gouge (dot) shows inside upper memorial bay 11.
