1971-S Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-021

Description

Class II + V, Distorted and Pivoted Hub DoublingA nice spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, MONTICELLO, PLURIBUS UNUM and the right side of the building with all spreads increasing from left to right.  The strongest spread is on AMERICA.  A CW spread from a pivot at approximately 1 o’clock shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and FIVE CENTS. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Strong die gouge under first T of STATES; large heavy die gouge on lower horizontal bar of E of STATES; die gouge from lower left of second S of STATES.
