Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA constant spread toward the rim shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and the dome details. An extremely close spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the right side of the building. Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a doubled die listed as 1971-S Pr 5c WDDO-016. Reverse: Strong die gouge from rim over right side of second U of PLURIBUS; light die gouges (dots) inside upper portion of first U of UNUM; die gouge (dot) in field above porch to right of dome; die gouge (dot) northeast of upper right corner of roof of building.
