Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, slightly decreasing from left to right. A very close spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the left side of the building. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge (dot) northeast of Jefferson's eye. Reverse: Strong diagonal die scratch between long and small right windows; heavy die gouge to right of upper portion of S of PLURIBUS; heavy die gouge between first U and R of PLURIBUS; small die gouge above lower portion of first S of STATES; heavy die gouge between F of OF and first A of AMERICA; vertical die scratch to right of first T of STATES; diagonal die scratch to right of second T of STATES.
