Description

Class II + VI, Distorted and Distended Hub DoublingA spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and FIVE CENTS, increasing from left to right.  ICELLO of MONTICELLO shows extra thickness, increasing from left to right.  Doubling also shows on the right side of the building. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Several crossing die scratches on porch to left of dome; two parallel die scratches from upper portion of long right window; diagonal die scratch just left of small right window; two roughly parallel die scratches above long left window.
