1970-D Repunched Mintmark WRPM-005

Description

D/D Northeast Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse of this variety is also a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1970-D 1¢ WDDO-027. Slight doubling shows under the tops of the seven and the zero in the date. A die scratch runs WSW from the bottom of the 9 in the date to the vest. Reverse: Two short die scratches run from WSW to ENE above the Memorial roof on the right side. A die scratch connects the bottoms of the T and E in STATES.
