1964 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-027

Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA strong spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, MONTICELLO and the center steps.  The spreads decrease slightly from left to right.  A lesser spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, also decreasing from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Two die gouges NE from lower back of collar toward queue and another on queue just right of first two. Reverse: Two diagonal scratches between bottom of F of OF and first A of AMERICA; light horizontal die scratch between bottom of second S of STATES and O of OF.
