1964 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-023

Description

Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling     "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesThis variety was formerly listed as WDDR-199.  It replaces the original WDDR-023 listing which was delisted because it was too minor.  A strong Class II spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and FIVE CENTS.  A closer spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, MON of MONTICELLO, and both sides of the building. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Die dot below NT of MONTICELLO; die scratch on rim between D of UNITED and first S of STATES.
