Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA strong tripling spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM. A closer spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Doubling shows on both sides of the building, FIVE and MON of MONTICELLO. All spreads decrease slightly from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Die gouge (dot) between upper portions of I and C of AMERICA; die scratch from lower portion of I of AMERICA to rim; die gouge (dot) above left side of E of AMERICA; two tiny dots NW of S of CENTS.
