Description

Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling     "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA strong spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and slightly on FIVE CENTS. Die Markers: Obverse: Long die scratch from Y of LIBERTY to 6 of date near rim. Reverse: Stage A:  EDS with clear sharp doubling.Stage B:  Heavy die wear and die deterioration causing mushy appearance to reverse.
