Description

Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling     "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA strong spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PLURIBUS UNUM, CENTS, ELLO and the right side of the building.  All spreads increase from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge west from upper portion of I of IN; die gouge from upper left of W of WE; die scratch from Y of LIBERTY southeast to bottom of 1 of date. Reverse: Die scratch from E of FIVE southeast to second T of STATES shows on later die states.
