Description

D/D/D North & South Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Thin mostly N/S die scratches throughout the obverse. Two vertical die scratches between the I in IN and the front of the bust. Die scratch connects the LIBE in LIBERTY. Die gouge right of the W in WE. Obverse Stage B: Thin Stage A die scratches likely abraded away. Strong die scratch extends from the back of the head to the R in LIBERTY. Reverse Stage A: Reverse is WDDR-019, class II doubling shows on OF AMERICA and slightly on UNUM. Short die scratches extend from the rim clockwise around most of the reverse. NW/SE die scratch through the first L in MONTICELLO. NW/SE die scratches through and above the right end of the building. NE/SW die scratch above the C in AMERICA. Two long concentric die scratches left of the building. Die gouge below the M in UNUM. Die gouge below the last O in MONTICELLO. Die gouge between the bottom of the N and T in CENTS. Die gouge left of the dome. Reverse Stage B: Most Stage A die markers abraded away. Short Stage A die scratches NW from the right roof still visible.
