S/S/S West & West Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Medium N/S die scratches at the 19 of the date and below the beard. Short N/S die scratches connecting to top and the forehead and the front hair. Short N/S die gouge near the top of the head positioned center between GOD and WE. Strong N/S die scratches below the R in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: Most scratches abraded away with some being weak. Die gouge at the head is still present. Secondary mintmark is weaker. Reverse Stage A: N/S die scratches through the E of ONE and the T of CENT. NNW die scratch from the upper left side of the C of CENT. Die gouge at the left lower inside of the C in CENT. Lighter N/S die scratches in the field. Reverse Stage B: Stage A. die scratches abraded away. Die gouge at the C of CENT is weaker. Obverse Stage A:
