Description
A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 3:00 shows on ONE DIME, EPU, and UNITED.Die Markers: Obverse: Type II. Crisscrossing die scratches throughout the lower obverse. Strong curving die scratches through GOD, above TRUST, and on the neck. Strong slightly curved die scratch connects the T and Y in LIBERTY. Strong concentric die scratch near the rim at 3:00. Strong WNW/ESE die scratches on the neck below the ear. E/W die scratches on the cheek. N/S die scratches in front of the eye. Large die gouge on the neck near the front tip. Reverse: Light crisscrossing die scratches throughout the reverse. Strong wavy NE/SW die scratch through the bottom right of the E in ONE. Strong E/W die scratches through the bottom of the DIM in DIME. Strong NE/SW die scratches through the TED in UNITED along with a series of short gouges. Long E/W die scratch through the upper oak leaf cluster. Long N/S die scratch from the last U in PLURIBUS to the D in DIME.Submitted By: John A. WexlerCross References: None known Obverse: Type II. Strongest scratches through the DIM in DIME and between the CA in AMERICA and the oak leaves.
