Description
A strong Class IV spread to the north shows on the bottom of the torch, the flame, as well as on the left and right branches, the stems, and the leaves. Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. Two NW die scratches from the nose forming an upside down V and then becoming a single die scratch. Series of NE die scratches into the field from the upper back of the neck. Reverse: Two die gouges NW from the upper torch base. Three die scratches, one NNE and two NE through upper R of AMERICA. Series of die scratches between D and M of DIME going through the I. Heavy vertical die scratch between the D and I of DIME. Obverse:
