1945-S Repunched Mintmark WRPM-005

Description

S/S Northeast Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches run from NNW to SSE through the 19 in the date. Reverse: The reverse of this variety is also a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1945-S 1¢ WDDR-001. A close Class II spread towards the center shows on the tips of the left wheat lines and the tops of the letters in EPU. A strong die clash mark shows between the lower C and E in CENT. North to south die scratches run through the UN of UNITED. Obverse:
