Description
Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found SE of the N of IN. A short die clash protrudes from the center of the queue. Obverse Stage B: Same as Stage A. Reverse Stage A: A long die scratch runs from the N in UNITED and through the NTI of MONTICELLO. A strong die scratch connects the bottoms of the U and N in UNITED. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse. Reverse Stage B: The long die scratch from the N in UNITED is no longer visible. The reverse die has been abraded and the other Stage A die scratches have been replaced by a completely new pattern of die scratches.
