Description

Obverse Stage A: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Tooling gouges on the outside of the vest. E/W tooling gouge where the frontal hair and forehead meet. Die gouge SW from the back of the collar. Light scratch SSW from the lower back of the head. Obverse Stage B: All stage A die markers abraded away except for a weak remnant of the die gouge at the collar. Reverse Stage A: Beginning about 1/4 down from the right inside of the N in UNITED a long die scratch runs NW. Reverse Stage B: A die scratch runs NNE from the top of the O in OF through the center of the N in UNITED (new reverse die?)
