Description

A light extra eyelid can be found north of the normal eyelid. Doubling shows on the bottom of the inside of the ear. Slight doubling shows below the T and Y of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: Two nearly parallel die scratches run from SSW to NNE to the right of the forehead. A nearly vertical die scratch can be found to the right of the nose. A die gouge can be found to the left of the lower 9. A die scratch runs from WSW to ENE through the top of the ear. A die crack runs above the designer’s initials. Reverse: A strong die gouge can be found to the right of the lower E in ONE. A short die scratch runs from SSW to NNE to the right of the bottom of the C in CENT. A die scratch runs SSW from the bottom of the O in OF to the left wheat stem. Obverse:
