Description

A close CW spread shows on the letters of LIBERTY. Notches show on the bottom left letters of IN. An extra eyelid can be found SE of the normal eyelid. Possible doubling can also be seen on the 43 in the date. Die Markers: Obverse: Two parallel die scratches run from NE to SW below the G in GOD. Two nearly parallel die scratches run SE from the upper lip. A short die scratch runs from SW to NE between the T and Y of LIBERTY. A die scratch runs from NNW to SSE through the upper right T of LIBERTY. A die crack runs from east to west across the base of the bust with a branch turning SSW running to the right of the B in V.D.B. and out to the rim. Another branch turns north running up the shoulder. Another branch runs SW through the bottom back point of the bust and out to the rim. Reverse: A short die gouge can be found north of the right side of the N in ONE. A light die crack runs south from the L of PLURIBUS to the upper left O in ONE. A die scratch runs from north to south to the left of the top of the right wheat ear. Strong die clash marks can be found between the C and E of CENT and between the C of CENT and the NI of UNITED. Strong die clash marks can be found between the E of ONE and the N of CENT. Obverse:
