Description

P/P WestDie Markers: Obverse: Extremely minor Class II doubling on IGWT. Weak die clash marks at the chin and through the queue. Thin E/W die scratches at the throat. Die gouge between the W and E in WE. Reverse: NW/SE die crack through the doorway, through the pediment at the third column, and curving left through the dome. Strong N/S and NE/SW die scratches above the left roof. Strong N/S die scratches below UNUM. Short N/S die scratches above the right roof. NE/SW die scratches through the small right window and right arch. Short die scratch NE from the first L in MONTICELLO. NW/SE die scratch through the CE in CENTS. Die gouge between the R and I in PLURIBUS. Die gouge at the top of the first A in AMERICA.Submitted By: Scott HollidayCross References: None known Obverse: Many crisscrossing die scratches below the chin and in front of the neck as well as through the UST in TRUST and in front of the forehead. Large die gouge touches the bottom left side of the 4 in the date. Small die gouge near the rim above the L in LIBERTY, Small die gouge below the left side of the E in LIBERTY. Reverse: Many strong concentric die scratches through PLURIBUS, UNITED, and AMERICA. Thin crisscrossing die scratches above the right side of the building. Large die gouge below the E in FIVE.
