A very close spread shows on the upper left wheat lines. Light extra thickness shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge (dot) shows on Lincoln’s neck. A small die gouge (dot) shows on Lincoln’s jacket below the bowtie. A series of die gouges (dots) show above and between the letters B and E in LIBERTY. A small area of die damage shows on the lower left corner of the I in IN. A faded die gouge runs from the top of Lincoln’s hair below the O in GOD. A faded die gouge shows below and between the letters of WE. A series of horizontal die scratches show inside and in front of Lincoln’s upper ear. Two parallel die scratches run SW from Lincoln’s lower ear and from the back of his beard. Reverse: A die gouge (dot) shows below the I in PLURIBUS. A large die gouge (dot) shows above the upper right edge of the N in ONE. A miniscule die gouge (dot) shows left of the lower T in CENT. Two die gouges (dots) show northwest of the U in UNITED, with one in the field and one on the right edge of the left wheat stalk. A die gouge (dot) shows to the southwest of the E in STATES.
