Description
Class VI extra thickness shows on the outer devices. Light Class II separation lines show on the upper left and right wheat tips. Die Markers: Obverse: A series of faded vertical die scratches show below Lincoln’s chin, including a possible worn die clash. A series of parallel die scratches show on the front of Lincoln’s lower bust. A horizontal die crack runs across the lower lapel and shoulder fold. Faded vertical die scratches show below the letters R and T in LIBERTY. A die gouge shows at the rim NW of the G in GOD. A horizontal die scratch runs through the lower W into the E in WE. Reverse: A die gouge runs east from the E in E PLURIBUS. A series of mostly horizontal die scratches run through the lower letters E, P, and L of E PLURIBUS. A die gouge runs east from the upper B in PLURIBUS. A light die scratch runs between the upper right wheat lines and the rim. A pair of mostly vertical die scratches run between the central left wheat stalk and the rim at approximately 8 o’clock. A die scratch runs above and parallel to the left wheat stem.
