Description

Very strong extra thickness shows on EPU, the dots, both wheat ears, and both wheat stems. Lesser doubling also shows on ONE and OF AMERICA. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: An E/W die scratch connects the I and N of IN. A NNW/SSE die scratch can be found below the Y in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: The Stage A die markers are much weaker but still visible. Obverse Stage C: The die scratch at the Y of LIBERTY is still visible. Reverse Stage A: An X-shaped die scratch can be found below the N in UNITED. Reverse Stage B: The Stage A die markers have been abraded away. Reverse Stage C: A die crack runs north from the rim at about 4:00 turning NNE at the wheat ear. A die crack runs SSE from the rim at about 10:30 to the upper left wheat ear. Obverse Stage A:
